Who the hell are they trying to kid? No competition drives prices UP not down. That's the whole point of anti-trust law.

I love the quote in the article by the spin-meisters saying that it will driving broadband penetration up and costs down. It's like the Bush administration stabbing you in the eye and saying "this will increase your vision." All marketing now-a-days seems to just have the message that people are likely to resonate to and has absolutely no shred of truth to it. Mostly because people are too busy to prove otherwise.
