'Star Trek' Star James Doohan Dies by Mike the Usurper at 12:35 pm EDT, Jul 20, 2005 |
In 1973, he complained to his dentist, who advised him: "Jimmy, you're going to be Scotty long after you're dead. If I were you, I'd go with the flow." "I took his advice," said Doohan, "and since then everything's been just lovely."
No line, his is the best. |

What a cool guy. From the army to drama school to Star Trek with a manufactured Scottish accent. I like this part of the article best: He accused Shatner of hogging the camera, adding: "I like Captain Kirk, but I sure don't like Bill. He's so insecure that all he can think about is himself."
If that doesn't just figure...I'll bet his self-esteem is far worse off now since signing on to do those Priceline.com commercials. -janelane, culturally |
