An American newspaper is reporting the National Hockey League and its players' union have reached a tentative deal that could lead to the end of the 10-month hockey lockout.

Or maybe not :-( Oh well.. Tennessean Article Representatives of the NHL and NHL Players' Association were quick to shoot down the report that a tentative agreement had been reached between the two sides yesterday. But those who've been following negotiations closely are hopeful The Los Angeles Times article is at least another strong indication the end of the 10-month lockout is near. Maybe even more telling is the fact the NHL Board of Governors' executive committee, which includes Predators owner Craig Leipold, has scheduled a Monday meeting in New York City.

yes, but all that the league and union said was that it was 'innaccurate', which means that the terms are probably not all nailed 100%. But I bet that's the same structure of the deal. And what I really want to ask everyone involved is: "Is this deal better than the one you could've signed last summer?" Cuz I bet the answer is a resounding 'NO!' |
