That was in the Old Testament, which is considered to be the law within Judaism. However, Christianity requires that one believe what Christ said. One important thing he said, was, "I am the END of the old law and the beginning of the new." That doesn't mean selectively applying Old Testament law to people, but completely discarding it and starting from scratch. That's why Christians can eat bacon.
