[ Well, I was responding more to what appeared to be an actual endorsement of that opinion by Acidus than the posting itself. An endorsement, I might add, which seems particularly out of character for someone I respect very highly. I'm wound up pretty tightly these days, so I may not have been fair... still, there was nothing jokey about the way Acidus memed the thing, so I replied seriously. If he meant them in jest, I hereby redirect the post to the unspecific ether.

Still, taken generally, my comments stand. I hate it when people trot out that opinion. It's "flipflopper" writ large -- as if changing one's mind for any reason is some sort of ultimate sin. In this case, it's a joke site, but don't think there aren't people who actually think that way, even if none of them happen to be on this thread. -k]
