But I'd have coupled this ] system with some cryptography. True, and while using it I was kind of wanting some crypto. The point of the site is not a vessel for sharing illegal things. Its simply to allow people a place to put large files for people to get it for various reasons (ie they don't have a HTTP/FTP server to upload to, mail server restricts size, etc). You could use your own PKE on top of it, between the sending and receiving parties. I wonder if they are pursuing some type of business model with this? Is there even one?
