yeah, I can't see how Sun's attorney's bumbled this around prior art. For cryin out loud, if you can call a byte code interpreter a 'help system', then what about languages like Pascal or Logo that have used this for years? What about JCL? What about Fortran GOSUBs? The distinction the jury used must be very narrow, but still obviously wrong in the broader context.

] investigating, such as writing a cross-platform computer
] language, then they don't owe you jack. Of course, this would
] not work, but its a nice dream.

Amen. Which is why I think the whole damn IP system should be jettisoned like 8 track tapes.
