]
] The rest is just incendiary

] ]
]
] I'm hoping he has his own ideas, and will not bow down to your

] everything and everyone into your flawed, idealistic
] viewpoint. Happy to bring you down to my level of
] namecalling, by the way. However, you don't seem to excel at
] it. Keep trying, junior.

]
] ] I can understand if locals don't want to see 100K people
] show
] ] up making racket. But c'mon people. That's what a Democracy
] ] requires. TOLERANCE!
]
] No, democrats require tolerance. A democracy requires votes
] and issues. Nothing more. In fact, we can argue with each
] other about this point. I don't see any need for tolerance in
] a democracy. In fact, tolerance would be unnecessary if there
] were a degree of responsibility taken for individual and group
] actions. Your views all seem to come from MTV buzzwords. Get
] over yourself, kid. Try exercising that grey stuff that
] collects dust in your skull. Responsibility! Reasonable
] protests. Don't you idiots realize that destroying the lawn
] stands in diametric opposition to the respect for nature that
] asshole liberals preach?
]
] For just one fucking day, I think the
] ] residents of central Manhattan can put up with a protest in
] ] the Park. If they had to suffer through Garth Brooks, and
] ] Disney, they can suck it up for one day to uphold the First
] ] Amendment's right to assemble.
]
] You can assemble if you submit prior to the last minute. The
] dumbass democrats and terrorists did not do this. They
] slacked and missed out. Personally, I would rather have them
] on the lawn than blocking traffic on 8th avenue. They got a
] better deal. Christ, keep them in Union Square and Washington
] square, where they belong, with the rest of the pansy-ass
] fruitcake liberals. IT's not like they need to protest. No
] matter who is elected in November, they lose. So they should
] just give it up. The war will not stop because some
] towelheads, homosexuals, militant cunts and weak men decide to
] act like assholes in public. Better they should run for
] office themselves, or work harder, get themselves the money to
] start a media outlet and use that as a voice of influence.
] Inconveniencing the Big Apple will do nothing to further their
] viewpoint. Too bad the GOP supporters don't throw pipe bombs
] and encourage terror like the Dems and their ilk. Then maybe
] these protestors would get a taste of their own medicine.
]
] Considering that you know all
] ] sides will be represented, you cannot make this a partisan
] ] issue. Can't enjoy a place that you love that day?
]
] Sure. But not with a bunch of assholes and terrorists
] littering, shouting like animals and being the general
] riff-raff that they are.
]
] Good thing
] ] that the island has more attractions per square mile than
] any
] ] other place on the continent. Maybe Vile should hike uptown
] ] and work at a shelter for the day and see how great this
] ] administration is doing with his neighbors.
]
] Or, maybe I should not care about people who refuse to work
] for their money? Could that be an option as well? And, I
] will have you know, Clinton did not do all that much to help
] out the scum of society, either. Work at a shelter!
] HAAHHAHHA! I would never want to work with fuckups, junkies
] and faggots who gave themselves AIDS. I would never want to
] work with pathetic bitches who shacked up with the wrong guy
] (instead of acheiving self-reliance) and got their asses
] battered. I would never help the scum that drank and drugged
] their futures away so that they could leech off of those that
] did the right thing. They can burn in hell. Better yet, ship
] them off to Indonesia, where they can put these useless
] bloodbags of human shit to work, since we obviously can't get
] the scum to lift a finger here!
] ]
] ] The real reason why Bloomberg nixed this probably has
] nothing
] ] to do with politics. It has everything to do with money.
]
] For once, you are correct. Bloomberg has grown rather distant
] from the administration after its handling of the 911 releif
] funds for the city. Why should NYC pay for some liberal
] college shits to throw their little hissyfit in public? I
] can't find a good reason. If the Al Queda had agreed to offer
] some of its money toward cleaning up after the little spoiled
] pigs who would desecrate the lawn, then they would have been
] allowed their constitutional right to destroy beauty. Alas,
] the terrorists are not very forthcoming in making restitution
] for damages incurred in their name. Therefore, the assholes
] will have to content themselves with 8th Avenue.
]
]
] ] Having a concert in the park generates revenue. Having
] Disney
] ] in the park generates revenue. The city can afford to put
] cops
] ] and street cleaners on the beat and still put some in the
] bank
] ] during those kind of events. But a peaceful protest? Those
] ] damn hippies ain't gonna spend no money! Fuck em!
]
] I suppose some people (older and wiser than you) remember the
] 60's, when the selfish, chicken-shit college-deferred bastards
] wrecked everything they laid their hands on. Yes. Fuck 'em!
] ]
] ] So in the end, it's not Democrat or Republican. It's the
] ] Almighty Dollar.
]
] In case you haven't noticed, asshole. WE are in shitty
] economic times. Please try to understand why we cannot
] accomodate the whims of little spoiled brats who want to make
] political protest a fashion statement. Its alot harder to
] march your corn-fed fatass down the avenue than it is to sit
] in a park, like a pig wallowing in the shit it makes. It's
] not democrat, republican, or the almighty dollar. It's about
] terrorists not getting their way and college brats forced to
] walk to support their supposed ideals.

I agree, we need people to come to New York and spend money, not just wreck our stuff and leave. Boston didn't get the economic boom it was expecting from the convention, and I don't believe New York will either.

Does anyone have $18 million to pony up so we can re-seed the lawn after everyone is done trampling it? Probably not. So please, stay off the goddamn lawn. There are plenty of other places to go, just as some said to me, there are many more attractions in the city to go see that one day. Well, there are lots of other places you can go to protest, so please go there. There was a whole schedule in the paper today. And in the event you do decide to go to the Park, no one is stopping you. There will be police there, but they'll be police everywhere in the city that week, so that's nothing special, so please don't complain.

In case anyone wants to see the before and after pictures of Central Park, (before the grass was restored) you can go to www.centralparknyc.org.
