] The Outlook Express e-mail program, meanwhile, no longer

] Hiding a program inside a compressed "zip" file won't

] Windows won't let you run its contents.
]
] Many non-program attachments, such as Microsoft Word
] documents and MP3 audio files, also require a second
] click to confirm that you really want to open them.
]
] Outlook Express also stops the display of Web images in
] messages, a common trick spammers use to see who opens
] their junk.

Hello, I'm Acidus, and I like to welcome you to 2004.

This "feature" is such a fucking pain in the ass. Microsoft Windows would be so much better if there was a switch you could flip that put it in "No, I'm not a moron." mode, where email attachments are your responsibility and "End Task" actually ends the kills that damn process. I don't care how hard you make it to switch to this mode. Put it in the registry. Make me hex edit the switch in one of the DLLs.
