I think the most important point (made abundantly clear in the detail) is that Hutchin's attack on Moore is uninformed, childish and unsupported by facts. I suspect that for many Repulicans who support Bush (and I know there are many who do not) Moore's adoption of the Republican "style sheet" for arguemnt has been something of a challenge. We should expect to see more. I've bookmarked the discussion and will follow it with interest.
