] to do the same thing. Hide a big coil in a barn near the power
] lines and run your house off of it. It does drain power from
] the grid even though its not physically connected.

I am pretty sure it was allowed-- he is a physicist at University of Bristol and has put in a number of installations there. Or perhaps not. I have not put in enough research.....
