Expenditures for police protection, judicial and legal services and corrections activities has increased 366 percent from nearly $36 billion in 1982, said a report released Sunday by the U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Statistics. The report cites 2001 numbers. Cost expand as Criminal Justice System expands. ------------------------------------------ I've heard it said "You cannot govern a free people." I've also heard that the US has more people incarcerated than any other country. Is this freedom? | |||
