To those of you too young to know that name, He was the Marlboro smoking marathon runner and author who popularized the sport of running; his 1977 bestseller The Complete Book of Running, is credited with helping start America's fitness revolution. He died of a heart attack while running in 1984. |

Reminds me of a meme a few weeks back where one 'tard said "cure lung cancer and we can smoke safely". Jim Fixx must have thought "Since I'm a athlete, I can smoke all I want and its a wash."
