CNN.com - Spalding Gray found dead by w1ld at 11:17 pm EST, Mar 8, 2004 |
NEW YORK (CNN) -- A body pulled from the East River at 3 p.m. Sunday was that of actor-writer Spalding Gray, who had been missing since January 10, the New York City medical examiner's office said Monday afternoon. Gray, 62, was known for writing and starring in the autobiographical "Swimming to Cambodia" and appearances in films such as "The Killing Fields," "Beaches," "The Paper" and "Kate & Leopold," but was most celebrated for his autobiographical monologues, including "Cambodia," "Monster in a Box" and "It's a Slippery Slope." == I always enjoyed his monologues. Terrible to see it end the way it did. His wife and children will be terrored by that event for the rest of thier lives. It wasn't worth it man, but Peace Out. |
