Daily Kos || The price of politicizing 9-11
by k at 2:15 pm EST, Mar 4, 2004

] The Bush reelection campaign yesterday unveiled its first
] three campaign commercials showcasing Ground Zero images,
] angering some 9/11 families who accused President Bush of
] exploiting the tragedy for political advantage.

[ I would add that Cheney promised just last month that they wouldn't use 9/11 as a political tool. I understand that 9/11 was a major, world altering event, but showing imagery of a casket being pulled from the wreckage is the lowest sort of emotion grabbing politics i can imagine. Despicable -k]

Look what they're planning for their convention, it's not surprising. Cheney's lie isn't surprising either. I'm surprised he came out of the shadows to actually say that.

I listen to conservative talk radio on the way into work, because getting my blood boiling helps me have acute driving senses. One guy this morning, G Gordon Liddy, was saying how these ads were perfectly acceptable, and that it's a bogus issue. Why is that? Just because he says so? Are these people really that dim witted that they will go along with this because it's "their man?"
