Source of Passion of Christ Spam
by Romanpoet at 6:42 pm EST, Feb 28, 2004

I've been getting about 3-4 spam a day for the Passion of Christ film. After a while I wondered to myself..."Wait...Surely the people who made the film aren't making this. Who the hell would be sending this out?" I did some further research and discovered who. Click YES at the end, it's worth it.

Recite a prayer, and enter to win a Hummer?

Jeez.. What a crazy world we live in.

I don't get it. Do you think the Hummer company is behind it? IMHO, that is not at all certain and actually unlikely. I wonder if it's even a legitimate give-away; could be the sending organization is merely collecting email addresses.

Or did I miss something obvious, which is certainly possible! In any event, it IS pretty odd!!

Hummer company definitely not behind it, you can do WHOIS records and browse the rest of the site to see it is a real ministry. The thing is that ministry organizations are working with spammers. I view this as a rather odd (and extremely humorous) mix.

The only thing thats important here is that you understand that God is not interested in either your behavior nor your ideals. Sins, and spams, can be forgiven. What is important is your allegiance. The key element is that you are a member of the club. If you agree to be a part of the club you get everlasting life, and if you act now you could also win a free H2. If you do not agree to be a part of the club we are damning you to hell regardless of what sort of person you are. This is because our basic motivation is not well being, peace on earth, or any of that other horse shit that has more to do with how you treat each other then what you believe. Our basic motivation is TOTALY MEMETIC DOMINATION. You will be assimilated. Call now. Angels are standing by. Or flying by, as it were.
