That's a _big_ question.. While I may have traveled in the surrounding area, I cannot claim to have enough of an understanding of the area's political dynamics to give an answer that is another other then me shooting uneducated opinions out of my ass.

But I'll give it a shot anyway. :)

China would have to have the same level of involvement (or more) in the situation as we would. That is "their" backyard. I don't see us going over there in an Iraq style unilateral way as even an option.. North Korea will have to be a multi-lateral effort. We would probably have to keep Japan as uninvolved as possible, because it would just raise tensions.

Also, that's assuming a military option is the only option. Again, I don't know enough to make any kinda judgment like that. It seems like efforts are focused on making the regime collapse into the hands of South Korea.. That would be the best possible outcome.
