Talk to people who deal with the press frequently. Nearly everything you read is misquoted. Nearly everything. Even the President. On TV they just take you out of context. They find a sound bite and put it somewhere else. Imagine talking to people every day and never saying a sentence that might be misconstrued out of context. Now you know what its like to be a PR person. The media is 100% corrupt. Nearly everything you see is a half truth. There is always another side to the story that you aren't getting. Even with simple stuff like local crime.

If there is anything that hanging out in the computer underground for years taught me its that you can absolutely, positively, never, EVER, trust a journalist.
