United States Natural Law Party - Wikipedia
by Decius at 11:11 pm EST, Jan 27, 2004

] The United States Natural Law Party is a United States
] political party affiliated with the international Natural
] Law Party. It is closely associated with Maharishi
] Mahesh Yogi, leader of Transcendental Meditation, a
] belief which holds the view that natural law is the
] supreme organizing priniciple that governs the universe.
] Adherents believe that all political problems can be
] solved through meditation.

Apparently my political views score most closely to that of the natural law party. The natural law party sounds like a bunch of lunatic spiritualists to me. Talk about coming at a solution from a different angle...

I voted for the Natural Law candidate in one of the Presidential elections once. :) They do have some rather, um, unconventional ideas, but some of them I agree with. For example, they state that if all felons were required by law to learn transcendental meditation, that the crime rate would decrease. And I think that's probably true. :)

Yeah, I agree, but also if all felons were required by law to become born again christians the effect would be the same. Trouble is this violates the separation of church and state. In application this would be a cure worse then the disease in terms of the level of corruption it would create in the government (in a religious state you can't question the system).
