A really interesting article about taking ipods to high-end audio shows, but most importantly is the theory discussed in the final quote-- I have long said this. Truly bothersome thing about audio equipment.

indeed this is the whole truth when it comes to sound quality. get the best stuff you feel comfortable with and stop thinking about it... it'll sound great to you unless some dickhead plays something for you on his $250,000 system, which isn't likely for most of us.
