I actually highly discourage this one. I've heard nothing but negative things about it. Notable quotes being, "Someone who writes a book titled, "The Birth of the Mind" is either incredibly brilliant or an incredible bullshitter...and I believe I know where to place this one..." Haven't read it personally though -- from what I have seen though seems very Pinker'ian. -Virgil Jeremy wrote: ] A lucid, pleasing chronicle of how genes construct the ] human mind. ] ] There is only a tiny genomic difference between humans and ] primates, but an immense one between their minds. There isn't ] one gene "for" some attribute, such as intelligence, which is ] implied when the human genome is compared to a blueprint. ] Instead, genes act in "exquisite harmony."
